Groundhog Day Poetry

Will it be cold
will it be hot
will it be weeks
Till winter stops?

will it be sunny?
will it be rainy?
Only Punxsutawney Phil Knows
Because he's our weather brainy!

His name was Phil.
Will he see his shadow
On the hill?

February 2 is Groundhog Day!
Please Mr. Groundhog, come out to play.
I hope that Mr. Groundhog comes out of his hole.
And doesn't see his shadow upon the flagpole.

We wish we were there on the spot.

Somewhere in PA there is groundhog named Phil.
Phil lives in a hole up on a hill
when he wakes from is sleep, he comes out to peek
so if he sees his shadow, we'll have winter six more weeks.
