The celebrating begins in earnest around 3:00 am Eastern Time. A bon fire keeps party-goers warm at Gobbler's Knob, as temperatures are often in the single-digits (or lower) on Groundhog Day morning. By 5:00 am, the party is in full swing! Music keeps the crowd moving, fireworks illuminate the sky (photos are on a separate page), and members of the Groundhog Club keep the throng of Phil Followers entertained until it's time for the forecast to be read at sunrise.
