Public Input Meeting!
The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club is pleased to announce that we have received a landscape design matching grant from the Pennsylvania Wilds Design Assistance Program, with a grant from National Parks Serves Preserve America Fund and DCED Municipal Services Fund. The purpose of the matching grant is to allow the Groundhog Club to employ a landscape architect to assist us with the planning and designs for improving Gobbler’s Knob access, appearance, and experience. We have retained Mike Mohney from Pennsylvania State University to start the design process. The initial focus is enhancing the main entrance.
On November 22, 2011, at 7pm at Gobbler’s Knob, we will be holding a public awareness and input meeting to provide information about the grant and some of the preliminary ideas that Mohney is working on with us. A representative from PA Wilds will also be present.
We invite you to attend this meeting and will answer questions, received comments, and will have refreshments and cookies for you to enjoy. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on November 22, 2011.
